Educational Programs
We are committed to helping our community learn more about the benefits of eating locally grown and sustainable food products. Our educational programs run year-round, bringing important information about healthy eating and sustainable farming to adults and school-aged children through classes and events delivered both in the schools and in our Market Classroom. We are pleased that such programs have allowed our market to be one of only a handful of Farmers’ Markets in the country to earn non-profit 501(c)3 status.
Food Resources
Now more than ever, food insecurity remains a real and insidious problem in the St. Helena community. While seemingly out of sight for many of us, food security and scarcity directly affects many of our neighbors. The St. Helena Farmers' Market provides an essential venue for providing regular access to a broad selection of community resources. Supporting CalFresh and WIC recipients with a $ for $ match as well as supporting our local food pantry, we strive to ensure our entire community has access to healthy, nutritious, farm-fresh food
